Waveshare UART to Bluetooth Module
Simple serial port to Bluetooth module with pin header for easy connection to your development system, including Arduino Plus board or STK200 or STK300.
This is a slave module that can't initiate communications but can communicate with all Bluetooth units including mobile phones. It appears to your AVR or other microcontroller as a simple UART so your existing UART code will work with it - that is it can just act as a Bluetooth serial port replacement.
Simply power up the module and run your Bluetooth software. This will detect the Bluetooth module and you can connect to it as a serial port. It will then appear as a Virtual Serial Port and you can download and use Ultra Serial Port Monitor (link below) or use your favourite console program to control it and send data by Bluetooth.
This unit is controlled by AT command set including Baud rate, 4 digit passcode and device name. Once these are set, it can communicate with other Bluetooth units.
This is a 3.3V module, do not connect to 5V systems without a series resistors. STK200 or STK300 boards can be set to run at 3.3V anyway.
