3.5inch RPi LCD (A) and 3.5inch RPi LCD (B) are hardware compatible with each other (use different drivers), and can be mutually substituted in most cases. (A) is the low cost version while (B) is higher quality IPS version with better display. This is (B) version.It is strongly recommended that you use a stand-alone 5V/2A power adapter, because the PCs USB port might have not enough power to support the Pi and LCD.
