Yellow Smart Card
The Smart Card YELLOW, also known as a Funcard 4, is a field programmable, ISO-7816-1 pin-out compatible multi-chip Smart Card. It has been updated from older AT90S8515 AVR series to newer ATmega8515. It features the ATMEL ATmega8515, with 8KB program memory + 8KB 24C64 EEPROM. The expanded 8KB data memory is ideally suited for applications requiring field programming and reprogramming, short time to market and small to medium volume roll outs.
The Yellow refers to chip type, NOT card colour and the cards are usually white.
These cards are really the best on the market, they are the size of a credit card, wafer thin and have an ATMEL ATmega8515 chip and a 24C64 EEPROM chip (64KBit) for data storing. They have far more code storage capabilities than the normal gold wafer cards.
ATMega8515 + 24C64 based cards are the first to get full support in the AES 256bit version of WB-Loader.
