They are not the same

At minimum, they believe all Type-C functions on the quicker spec. This isn’t true however. You have to remember that Type-C is the connection type that could actually operate on a lesser spec. USB 3.1
Now, we will talk more about USB 3.1. This is the successor to 3.0 and you can identify it from its bright turquoise port. We also refer to it as USB 3.1/gen 1 and USB 3.1/gen 2.
