68HCS08 Flash/EEPROM Programmer Software

PEmicro's PROGHCS08 is programming software that allows the user to program/reprogram both internal and external flash devices in-circuit. A PEmicro hardware interface, sold separately, is used to communicate with the target device. The programmer talks to the processor's debug mode via one of these interfaces, which include the Multilink & Multilink FX debug probes and Cyclone LC & Cyclone FX stand-alone programmers.

Supported Devices

In addition, the programmer comes with PEmicro's entire library of 68HCS08 programming algorithms.

Compatible Hardware

PEmicro USB Multilink Universal FX is a high-speed, all-in-one development interface which allows a PC access to the Background Debug Mode (BDM). The FX's high-speed USB interface allows communications between your Windows machine and the standard debug connector on the target.

Licensing

The license that activates PROG now resides on a Multilink debug probe rather than in the software itself. The user who activates the software will choose a Multilink on which to permanently install the license. The allows that Multilink to work with PROG on any machine where a supported version of the software is installed. No license is required to use PROG software with Cyclone programmers, as the Cyclone includes PROG software.
