Question:

When using ST7Starter kit, I receive the error message "No response from Device - Running Simulation" or "Unable to comunicate with Device"

Answer:
1) Check the Keys. Green key when using the programmer, blue key when simulating. They can be difficult to insert correctly. Push down along the top edge of the key as you insert it. After inserting the key, hold the board at eye level. Look along the top edge of the key socket - you should only just be able to see the tops of the keys' gold pads. Often 1mm or so can be seen - this is too much - the key is not inserted properly. If the key was inserted Ok, the key should spring out when the retaining clips are released.
