RS232 to CAN Converter

CAN232 is a Serial Port to CAN adapter dongle that plugs into any PC COM Port, or RS232 port in an embedded system, and gives an instant CAN gateway. This means it can be treated by software as a standard COM Port which removes the need for any extra drivers. Data send and receive can be done in standard ASCII format.

Pin assignment according to CiA recommendations DS102-1.
This layout is the full CAN pin assignment. CAN232 should have these connections. External power needs to connected to the CAN232 unit as it is not self powered, unlike CANUSB.
